Q) What can FamilyRoots do for
me?
A) We can research your family's background.
And not just come up with dry data such as names and dates, but also
in many cases particulars about individual ancestors of yours.
Q) Where does FamilyRoots gather this
information?
A) From official archives existing in almost
every country of the world. We are associated with professional
genealogists in several European countries and these experts know
exactly where to search. They speak (and, of course, read) many
different languages and can quickly decipher old records.
Q) How long does it take to conduct a
search?
A) That depends entirely on how far you want
to travel back in time. In almost every case you can trace a family
name back to the 1600s, and in many cases much further back than
that. An initial search may take 3 to 4 weeks.
Q) How reliable is the information
gathered by FamilyRoots?
A) Very! The information provided by our
experts can be considered 100 percent correct going back some 300 to
350 years. Beyond that, we may in some instances uncover the
occasional conflict as we run into divergent source material. When
that happens, we provide our clients with both options, stressing,
however, the source we consider the most reliable.
Q) Ah yes, and how much does it
cost?
A) FamilyRoots charges a research fee of US$12
an hour. New clients must make a deposit of two hours of research
time (or $24) before we can take on a case. However, we guarantee
results and full satisfaction. (Your deposit will be returned to you
if we fail to come up with any results within the stipulated time
frame mentioned in the contract). Our bank references are:
Toronto-Dominion Bank, Aldergrove, and the Aldergrove Credit
Union.
Q) Okay, how do I pay?
A) You may pay by check (made out in US
funds), by postal money order, or by any major credit card. As it is
still not absolutely safe to submit credit card information
electronically, this information can be conveyed to us by letter, by
telephone, or by fax. Our snail-mail address is FamilyRoots, 6546
County Line, Aldergrove, BC, Canada V4W 1P8. Our telephone number is
(604) 856-8217, and our fax number (604) 856-5212. We recommend
sending the information (credit card, number and expiry date) by fax.
The quickest and most cost efficient way.
One final word:
And, finally, we will be happy to help you find your Family
Roots.
We will be pleased to hear from you and wish you all the best in your
efforts to connect with the past by discovering your own roots.
Genealogically yours,
for FamilyRoots
